It might have predated the trade, but even if it did, it might not have predated the agents' knowledge that the trade was possible.
Just saying...I'm getting a real sense that the old "European talent welcome" sign has been pulled out of storage, dusted off and turned on again.
It COULD be that his interest in coming over prompted the Grizzlies to offer him in talks and the Mavs to grab him, but it could also be that he's suddenly interested in coming over because of a change in relationships in the Dallas organization.
