Given how teams have operated this summer, I can tell you exactly how contenders would look at 37M at age 37. Sure Mavs buy him out, we´ll sign him for the minimum.

This is kind of what I think, too. I think the expiring salaries you can do the most damage with are Marshall/Thompson sized. Easier to combine two of them than to be locked into finding a match for a bigger one. I think this problem is what forced the Mavs to make that Porzingis to WAS trade.
