Not necessarily a deal breaker, because you don't have to cave and you probably don't make the deal unless you're hopeful you'll want to extend him, but it needs to be considered. The time from 0 to "serious commitment" wouldn't exactly be leisurely.

I'am sure any trade for Wallace would include a contract extension.  I wonder what type of contract he is seeking.   Would the Mavs be willing to give him 30 million/year when he hasn't proven he can run his own team?
