He won't be a foundational piece but the price for production matters.

For all the reasons you like White, Simons has a very similar profile.

Except here he can actually play around three to four 6'7+ two way guys at all times.

(also as an aside, that sentence is only missing 5 before becoming a counting elmo exercise).

I like White a lot more because he's not an absolute turnstile on defense like Simons. Plus, White has the size to play next to Kyrie.

The only real positive for Simons is that he's a good and willing outside shooter... which this team is desperate for. However, he misses a LOT of games -- which this team doesn't need more of.
