...if you're right about that, this is a missed opportunity for Dallas in my opinion. Anytime you get a chance to collect picks for a player that will be made after that player retires? You have to think about that pretty hard, imo.
I don't think it's that simple to trading Kyrie.
He's the one vet in the locker room with prestige. And not only that, his name carries a lot of weight around everyone with the league. Even if his resume doesn't show it, he has the cred.
Hard to give up that kind of connective locker room piece for a bunch of picks, even when on paper it makes sense. We can't be a team full of rookies. Plus, its telling that around January when Kyrie started coaching Coop, he took a step in his comfortabilty.
