Stein: Mavs will „find it difficult to move some of their guys“ this summer outside of Klay who is expiring

It is really interesting that no vets were traded on draft night, huge difference compared to previous years. Might be the consequence of teams giving a much higher value on draft picks based on all recent changes. I am wondering if we will see more movenent in July.

There were several center needy teams before the draft. Chicago solved their position by taking Claxton for free, Charlotte and Atlanta look like they went for rookie solutions. Lakers and Boston might be the only center needy teams left. Gafford is for sure not worth an unprotected FRP. So even in case picks in the twenties from teams like LA and Boston were offered and Mavs rejected, I very much doubt those teams will increase their offers to unprotected future FRP(s).

To be honest, I am really surprised the Lakers kept their pick.
