I've always thought Wemby was a spectacular, once in a generation, talent. But I have to say my appreciation of his game has been tarnished by some of the thuggery he's displayed during these playoffs. Taunting, unnecessary force, headshots, elbows, flops, etc.
Between SAS and OKC, teams are going to need padding to survive a season. Interesting to see if Silver feels the need to address the physicality and whether it lasts more than just a couple of weeks.
Agreed - they physicality that SA's guards have been allowed to play has been pretty bad. Yes, teams have gotten physical with Wemby, but that happens down low a lot. The grabbing and holding at the top as been over the top.
Then to start Game 4, you have two dumb calls on KAT - that just changes everything for the Knicks. SA went on a 3 heater and next thing you know, they are down 29.
The good thing regarding SA is they really don't run a real offense. If they did, the series is 2-2 with SA holding all the momentum going into game 5.
