REPORT: Klay Thompsons preferred destinations if he gets moved are Miami, Orlando, Houston, Phoenix and San Antonio.
Klay has communicated with the front office throughout the month saying he prefers warm weather and a state with no income tax.
Miami has a $16.8mm TPE that expires 7/7. Taking Thompson into that before 7/1 is a hardcap problem from the prior season if there isn't enough returning salary. The salary is too big to fit the TPE after 7/1.
