So do we agree we want the Mavs to win next year, although realizing we are not in the OKC/SA/others orbit the focus should still be to be opportunistic with a plan of being a competitor when Flagg is 24 or so years old?  This doesn't mean to trade every player but look for opportunities to find players/assets who may be more valuable in the future.

There is no reason not to want to win next year, but there will be tradeoffs between winning next season and building an eventual contender, and I think there are a spectrum of views regarding how much you lean one direction or the other.
