There is a bit of an issue if they play too well. They are only eligible for non-Bird status. That is 120% of current salary or 120% of the minimum salary for their level of service. Outside of that, we have to use up MLE to retain them. Is it possible that they would both get bids higher than $4.7mm-ish? Certainly if they were key contributors to a long playoff run.
