Just start either Curry or Maxi and call it a day. No need to complicate this.
My best guess on Lee is that Rick was trying to keep the bench unit intact, expecting Sac to play a bigger lineup. Seth and Maxi are the bench's strongest players, and the unit tends to be decimated when they move out of it.
"Starting" Curry is essentially the adjustment they made. Seth played 34 minutes, Jalen 14. Some of Brunson's reserve minutes just occurred at the beginning of the game.
