My preference is Presti, by a wide margin. Obviously.
But imo Connelly is far closer to the top tier Expert GM than most of the other GM candidates that have been proposed. (I also see Lindsey on that level of proven GM.)
OTOH, I have no interest whatsoever in names like Riccardi and Finley, Shams, some agent guy, etc etc -- I want ones with a track record, and a good one. Not candidates where their claim to desirability is some lame "what if he might turn out to be good?" What if? Sheesh. Spare me that learn-on-the-job approach. I want the guy who has already figured it out, and put some impressive skins on the wall.
Who are you yearning for, if Connelly isn't acceptable? Presti or bust?
