Cowlishaw on Cuban's recent rants. Right on target on Cuban and his weird agenda. He doesn't quite buy the legitimacy of the shots at Kidd, and saw Kidd's role (at most) as a powerless bystander who had no control to change anything. Also says Cuban wants to lay blame but he (Cuban) is the one ultimately responsible, since he put power all the decision-makers whose decisions he's trying to deride now. Yep.
On Tuesday Hoop Collective, McMahon also called out Cuban in much the same manner, with the weird rants and shots, and thinks it's from having no power (as we have already surmised). Interesting aside on a revelation from that podcast - while McMahon has regularly said from a year ago that he is certain Kidd was involved in the Luka trade and that he has proof and that he has been told and that he has direct knowledge and on and on, this time he essentially confessed that he actually has no actual proof, but that's just been his assumption (even though he's always previously painted it as something he had direct knowledge of).
Cuban is the past it guy, who is powerless in the organization atm. This is important when you judge journalists opinion on him.
No one cares about him now, he can't shut anyone from the organization, nor he can provide sources to them. In that regard, journalists would be happy to scapegoat him for the guys who are in the organization who can feed them with some intel.
So, whatever they say now about Cuban, I would take it with grain of salt. He is the easiest guy for them to dismiss.
