The biggest roadblocks are if Myers’s wants to be a GM again and that he currently has a big job. I don’t think the second thing is a huge issue after the season. Time will tell if he thinks a GM is in the past and has bigger plans now.
Also a role Myers would accept would be much more than GM. Therefore, Ricardo and/or Finley could still keep senior level basketball roles.

Whether he is interested or the right person for the job is a different question, but I think Myers would be the ideal candidate Dumont is looking for to lead the basketball team. Who knows though as we have very little info on what Dumont thinks.
1) I don't think Dumont is looking for just a GM. Dumont doesn't want to run the day to day basketball things. He wants something more more than a GM imo.
2) I don't think Myers wants just a GM role to get him interested? I don't think he wants to scout in Topeka one night and Lincoln the next. I think he is interested in a much larger role that also has basketball decision making in it.
3) Hiring a guy in this role, also allows room to keep Ricardi and/or Finley to do more of the daily GM functions. Dumont allowing them to trade AD shows me he has some faith in them and thinks they have a place here (until they get offered a better job..if that comes)
So you are pretty much adding an established executive to run the organization. One who has had success and sort of fits the role that I think Dumont is looking for. We will see. Heck, maybe can get some ownership stake once they buy back Cuban's percentage
