No owner wants to pay second apron repeater tax for a lottery team. It's not really a Dumont has money or not thing. It's just not realistic. That's in addition to all the "flexibility" you have for roster building.
Every team knows this. That's why I've been saying for two months the Mavs have zero leverage in any AD trade talks. The Mavs needed to trade AD more than any suitor needed to trade for AD.
And that's why I am fine with this trade.
