D'Lo plus the Laker 2029 for Ryan Rollins?
D'Lo plus draft compensation we get from either a Gafford deal or a Naji deal for Rollins?
I think the strategy is to get real NBA players instead of hit-or-miss mid and late first rounders. That is why I'm drawn to deals for Risacher or Newell or even imperfect players with potential upside like Mathurin and Kuminga.
I think this upcoming draft is so strong and deep that there is an argument for taking a couple of shots. I also wonder in deals involving young NBA players why the seller wants to do it. They seller generally knows more about that player than the buyer. If they are trying to get out of the repeater tax, trading for players instead of space/assets makes that more difficult as well.
