It is a matter of when Giannis is traded, not if. Maybe that happens now, but I think this summer is more likely. Once he doesn't agree to an extension, I think things pick up fast. He doesn't even need to request a trade at that point. The question is who? Lakers and Clippers would both want him and will/can have cap room when he is a FA. I fail to see any offer that MIL would jump at via a trade. Houston and SA have the assets but I don't think they would offer an A level offer at this stage.
I think Giannis will try to stay in the East. I don't see ATL. Seems kind of meh. Knicks don't have the assets. Toronto has bad contracts.
If a trade were to happen, I think Miami and Brooklyn would be my two favorites. Miami being Giannis preferred location. Ware, Herro and draft picks. It feels like a weak offer though.
