I think you're exactly right, lol... and yet people will still fall for this stuff hook, line and sinker. It's like history hasn't taught them to ask the right question. Asking themselves the right question ends up setting up the correct goal. The question shouldn't be, "how soon can we try to win a title with Coop?". The question should be, "how do we put together a lasting dynasty for the length of Coop's whole prime (let's say: 22 years to 34 years or so) that just goes on winning and winning... and then wins some more?". Their plan should include getting 2 young stars who will form the core, and also how they will continue to get low-cost replacements for the roster through the draft. Sam Presti just gave everyone a master-class in how to do it after SGA fortunately landed in OKC's lap.
Oh and another +1 for the Culture Cuban term. That's funny.
