Dan suggested this earlier and it makes a lot of sense actually. The Hawks can do a 2 for 1 trade for AD if it’s KP + either Risacher/Okongwu… But I think you’d need to send them Powell to balance their roster, if it’s KP+Okongwu, as they’d have no Centers.
If you’re combing rumors and thinking through team needs, aprons, and tax penalties, the trade machine likes something like this:
DAL: Porzingis (expiring), Okongwu, Mathurin, ‘26 FRP NOP (via ATL)
ATL: Davis, Powell, Huff
IND: Gafford, ‘29 LAL FRP Swap (via DAL)
Atlanta would be $250k below A1
Pacers would be $1.7M below the tax line
Mavs would be out of the tax completely and able to waive Exum and convert Nemby with no financial repercussions.
