Why is it delusional for them to compete? They are 10-8 without Tatum. They just 3pt bombed Detroit and Orlando B2B. If Tatum looks likely to return this season, I guarantee you they are trading that contract for a contending piece this season and ideally moving forward. Maybe that actually makes Gafford the more likely target for them.
