Micah Parsons is 26 years old.  I don't understand the comment that he is on the decline.  By every metric, he is a top 3 defensive player in the NFL and he is just entering his prime.

The only logic for the trade is the Cowboys would be a very top heavy team salary wise with Dak, Ceedee, and Micah and that trio has not shown you they're good enough to compete for a title.

Yeah, I'm actually okay with the trade because I think his lackluster run defense makes it tough to swallow his insane contract, but the idea that he's declining at age 26 is crazy talk. He is one of the premier pass rushers in the NFL and will continue to be that for the length of this contract, barring injury.
