Haven’t posted here for a bit, but couldn’t help but to notice the similarities in the two trades. However, as a life long Cowboys fan, I’ve become a bit numb to what Jerrah has done to this team over the last 30 years and have had nowhere near the emotional reaction I did when we traded Luka. Also, the Cowboys got better compensation in this deal, and we won’t have to commit $44M to one defensive player. If Parsons was all that transformative to a team, why didn’t we win more over the last 4 years? (I know there are other reasons, too lol)
I have an Uncle who is a die hard Iggles fan. He texted me about the trade today and asked me what I thought. I told him I felt indifferent. He said he felt sad for me because he knows i grew up bleeding silver and blue. I will always like the Cowboys but can sum up my feelings about them in this quote from the great Peter LaFleur: “I found that if you have a goal, that you might not reach it. But if you don’t have one, then you are never disappointed. And I gotta tell ya…it feels phenomenal!”
I’m ready for some Mavericks basketball!!!!
