Couple of unrelated questions for the summer doldrums...

Is there a countdown clock on getting PJW's new contract (or extension?) done? They got Gafford done, but I haven't felt any urgency on getting PJW nailed down.

I was reading an article about how some of the recent player rankings (including NBA2K26!?) should help motivate AD to exert his dominance in the coming season. The article stated that AD was the "unquestioned" leader with Luka gone and Kyrie out until 2026. He can be a dominant player, but I have never really viewed AD as a leader. Do you agree with this statement? If not AD, who takes on that role?

I don't think PJ is eligible for extension until late August (29th maybe?).  The theory is that we will not hear about it until then.

AD will have to play that role as best he can early on, but my guess is that Flagg will be the leader/alpha on this team eventually.  Their best chance in this first window is that he assumes that role quickly.
