Honestly, I can't see Mavs taking anyone considering their situation.
They'll be forced to trade the pick for a washed-up vet just to somewhat compete next season.
I'm afraid Nico's short sidedness has destroyed both long and short terms.
Does a young player even matter on this team at this point?
Our building blocks for the future are Lively and Christie with a mid-range draft pick this season and virtually no future picks.
Nico will piece this thing together next season just enough to barely make the POs so the 2026 pick will basically be the same as this year giving us virtually no chance at landing a star in the draft.
At best, Lively, Christie and the few mid and most likely late round picks will be roll players and the only hope of acquiring a star will be through FA.
What FA would want to be a part of this freakin mess of an organization?
