Utah at least had a reason why they hit the nuke button. They saw the lack of playoff results with Mitchell and Rudy. Plus their vision is clear. Let’s hit on a bunch of picks and see. Similarly for the Nets. They nuked it because their stars just wanted out.
We nuked it after coming off a Finals run and legit having maybe the strongest and deepest team in the league this year, for who knows what? As already mentioned many times AD doesn’t overall make this specific roster better than Luka and unlike Utah we didn’t get any picks either.
So puzzling and frustrating when we could have made a legit championship push this year.
Trying to make sane from the insane is a fruitless endeavor.
This is really the first time in 30 years where I've missed Mavs games. The empty seats in the stadium tells the same story. The front office was so wholly incompetent that they truly didn't understand the fallout from trading the most beloved guy since Dirk. They really thought fans would just be able to move on. They truly believed that we would've been excited to get AD and thought we had a better chance to win.
There are just so many ways to look at this situation where you come away baffled every time with a new angle of pure insanity.
I truly, truly hope they are panicking over there in Mavs HQ. I want them to be looking at spreadsheets, seeing their revenue halved, and wonder "was it all worth it?".
I want Nico to sweat every time he steps near the AAC. I want Nico to be so uncomfortable where he starts to question his daily routine that allowed him to get on this path of trading away Luka. Moving on can't begin until Nico is fired. He will be publicly humiliated for the rest of his life.
