Only chance this trade ends as a win for Nico is if Davis plays five or six dominant years and Luka calls it - or has to call it - quits in three or four years. I‘m sure that won’t happen, but anyways.

AD has to be a 1st team all nba level player for at least 5 years for us to have even a modicum of justification, AND Luka needs to be done in 3-4 years. 

Even then it’s baffling.
