It´s just that we have no real need for Gordon, unless we trade Powell. And that´s basically the case for all above average frontcourt players. We can´t mess up our pay structure that way.
What I like is that the way our picks are trending, we should be able to get a player of the Gordon or LaVine quality with the picks alone, while not touching the bargain contracts of DFS, Kleber, Brunson and Curry. Proven young players with a little bit of a stink on them for playing on shitty franchises like Orlando, Minnesota and Chicago.

You would get the nonQFA . WCS can get $2.61 million IF he opts out and gets a NQFA contract. RHJ would be about 3 million to start on the NQFA
Those sound like too-good-to-be-true prices for a couple of rotation players. They'll cost more than that this summer - unless the Mavs really abuse WCS's desire to play in Texas and his liking of the Mavs.
