It will be interesting to observe though, if this will still be 100 % LeBron team or will they switch to Luka*. I never believed LeBron was honest by "giving" the team to AD. It was always LeBron #1 and AD #2. LeBron has the keys to help Lakers build the team in the summer. If he opts out and signs for (much) less money, the team could go below the first apron and execute SnT and perhaps also bring full MLE player (depending how much paycut LeBron takes).
*: I think Luka wouldn't have a problem with Lakers being LeBron team and I think LeBron is going to allow to let Luka be Luka on offense, taking a bit more secondary role. Basically LeBron being the main voice of the team and Luka being the first violin on offense. I am also sure media will always try to create agendas and dramas. For example everytime Luka will take the final shot and miss, questioning why they didn't go to LeBron. One has to be really strong mentally for such things not to get in his head.
I'll add to the comments that I like having your takes on subjects and I'd be interested in how you feel about everything as the remaining season progresses.
FWIW, I think Luka HAS to be #1 to be effective, or at least that's my observation from watching him these last 6 years. With the ball, he can be a magician, making impossible passes and killer shots. But he's never been much for movement when playing off ball, so his effectiveness comes with the documented high usage rate. It will be interesting to see what LA does to change how he's used when LBJ is on court.
