Luka Dealt to Lakers: Nico Harrison is a Basketball Terrorist

Yep.  Just money. The owners’ casino dream isn’t going to pan out. They’re cutting their losses (figure of speech, they’ll still turn a profit just not as big as originally hoped). They don’t care about a Dallas sports franchise. It’s just an investment.  They’ll sell or move the team before too long.

A great GM would not put his name under this deal, regardless of what ownership wanted. He re-signs, goes out a hero and gets another high profile job. Nico decided to help his friends Pelinka and Nike instead. I wish Luka would say fuck it, run down the deal and return to Real Madrid.
