This year's roster is missing something. I can't unequivocally say it's better than last year's roster even though on paper it appears to be.

Coaching and Luka. That’s what is missing. Luka with a PER of 22 and true shooting of 53% is below all star level. He should be at a PER of 27 with at least 60% true shooting. And of course Kidd has always been a bad coach whose flaws are covered up by a talented roster.
