It's cool that O-Max made some shots, but most of them came out mid-range iso, which is pretty freaking far from what he'd be doing in a real game for the Mavs. Some of the catch-and-shoot opportunities looked good, and they seemed to come mostly from the wing, which is cool. Still, I wish the highlights showed some of his defense, because that's what I'm interested in with him. There was that super cool chase-down block, but I really wish I would've caught the actual game.

That's fair. But like we've said this entire summer league, I don't think this team is good enough to generate those type of looks consistently for Omax. It'd be nice for Omax to sit in the corner and wait for a spot up 3 but Jaz Gortman and Brandon Williams aren't going to create that type of shot. And if AJ Lawson gets the ball it's never leaving his hands.

The fact that OMax finally started to be aggressive and shooting when he does his drive to the paint made me really excited. He looked smooth on those jumpers. Flowing from a dribble package move into a shot. Turnaround fadeaways through contact.

That type of stuff shows me he can be a little bit more than a pure 3-D guy.

And that defense was still there. He was SO good against that Jordan Walsh dude. Suffocated basically every single one of his shots and forced like 4 airballs.
