FA: Klay Thompson Comes to Dallas| 3yrs/50mil

Something like that.   Klay also has more gravity than THJ.  I think most teams didn't want to give Hardaway wide open looks but not to the same level as Klay.

Will it be a home run success?   Time will tell.   I think he is coming to the right team if it is going to work though.

Actually, I don't think you are going to see those shooting slumps like that. There is distinct reason why Klay with GS was over but he wanted to play with Dallas.

With GS he was the 2nd option. Here, he is likely to be the 3rd/4th option depending on the night. GS plays a heavy movement system. Since he lost a step with the injuries that's not him anymore. Klay was never fast to begin with.

With Dallas Klay is going to be put into more of a spot up shooter/shooter off screens. He can also get into the mid range and either shoot or pass out of it. Those are things that he excels at. The Dallas system is exactly a perfect fit for how he plays at this point in his career.

Most nights you'll have Klay hitting wide open 3s and at most dodging a closeout or stepping up into the mid. Luka and Kai draw so much attention it will be like target practice for him. If they throw a double he is a very underrated passer that loves throwing pocket passes to a rolling big or even lobs.

I'm telling you guys that this is literally the perfect fit for Klay right now. The defense on most nights will be scrambling after a Luka or Kai drive kicks out to an open Klay. That's where they are going to create the movement in the offense they need to beat a Boston.

Klay in Dallas will now force Boston to not slack off of anyone on the court. The system Dallas is running won't change much. But, instead of DJJ or THJ wide open missing the rim Klay will be knocking them down or making another pass for a better shot.

This is coming from someone who has watched a lot of GS since about 2014.
Legler: "If Luka wins this year, against a healthy Celtics team, at his age, the league is in trouble."
