LeBron playing is a big deal because everybody will definitely fall in line behind him, but that last time around they had the most talented team and then we found out none of them knew how to play anything but one on one basketball. In retrospect, that’s not surprising, because they were all the best players on their teams.
Those stacked international teams have been playing together for years.
I will say that the last time they sent Team USA it was largely the C-squad full of youngins.
Half of this new team are the same dudes from 2020 olympics, and the other half are from the 2012 team.
Only new additions are Edwards, Haliburton, Embiid, Tatum, and Steph.
That lineup alone is a superteam that can play off each other. This will be a cakewalk for them.
