I´m more worried about Gump´s recent takes that DJJ will get the taypayer MLE. Or that the Mavs won´t dump Powell for a 2nd round pick, if it helps them retain DJJ. Reason being the Mavs won´t carry an unplayable 15th man on their roster.
This thread was made in January, when Brunson was flying, Irving was always injured and Grant Williams looked like the undersized lazy loco that he is. There was nothing to suggest that the new MBT was any better than the old one. The whole franchise perception changed at the trade deadline.
