Cleveland gets THJ, a second from NO and a second from LA
NO gets Lavert and get off Graham's contract
Clippers get Wood, Bullock, Graham and Frank.
Dallas gets Reggie Jackson, Kennard, Rob Covington and Jackson Hayes
Luka/ RJ
Kyrie/ Hardy
Green/ Kennard
Maxi/ Covington/ Bertans
Powell/ Hayes/ McGee
Mavs get the third ball handler, one of the better shooters in the L, a young athletic rim running center, a bigger defensive wing and get off THJ's contract. Mavs lose front court offense but get better fitting pieces.
who says no.
Maybe at that point the Mavs can find a way to get another defender for McGee.
I am not sure that any assets to provide a 3rd ball handler are not wasted on diminishing returns. With Luka and Kyrie a vet along the lines of Kemba would be sufficient. However, I am comfortable that Frank and Hardy fill that need already. Unless Hardy is traded any ball handling guard brought in will stunt his growth this season.
My position at this point is that Dallas needs to make sure that any moves made forward are clear wins in talent upgrades, because there is little hope of correcting the financials without a jettison of Kyrie and swallowing this as a colossal swing and miss. IMO Wood helps more than hurts regarding a reset of the financials and should not be traded simply to salvage his value unless/until Kyrie's extension has been settled.
