I know this might seem a bit crazy after watching Gobert miss like 20 layups... I'd still take him.

His defense dwarfs all of those guys combined. He alone stopped at least like 10 points worth of easy buckets (including that Josh one yikes). Also we see our guards literally not even attempting a layup with Gobert out there. That's presence. 

If anything the Mavs can hopefully drive down his price to a point where it's believable he could go for THJ+Maxi and a 1st.

True. If anything this win buys a lot of time. Lets Luka rest even more. 

Now they're going to Utah which is a notorious place to win at. Hopefully Luka feels better because the Mavs can snag some momentum in game 3.
