I voted KP even though I am one of Green's supporters (even as far as draft night when everybody else is screaming for Saddiq). Not saying Green is better now, but there's still time.
JG played a good game, that much is obvious, all those assists were nice. Some better than others. The one to KP may look simple enough when there wasn't anyone at the rim was good, but an awkward angle and it might have been stolen. JG didn't rush it, he knew he had time. The pass to Knight on a break was a bit off by a step but not too out of the way. The one for Chris was a PG's pass. KP's cut to the basket was dazzling. That no look to Moses was too. Only one assist I think shouldn't have been. The kick out for a 3 to DFS. With JG's athletic ability he could have scored 2 that close to the rim. That's forgoing a higher percentage shot.
I think JG's passing is brought about by 4 things:
1. He really is unselfish, and happy to let others take the shot.
2. He has genuine court vision of a PG, he just doesn't have advance handles to be one.
3. His confidence is better, but he does not trust his scoring abilities, to him, the other guy has a better chance of scoring.
4. Due to his quickness (and not being fat like someone we know), he can attack the rim, and defenses panic instantly resulting in open team mates.
Hey JG.. shoot more please, or attack the rim more. Take the shot or not, sure beats watching Bullock and/or THJ chuck one everytime.
..And how about Knight this game? He is more of a PG than Brunson or Burke are, at least for a game it did look like it.
A few more games like this and a few of the guards are going to get traded.
