Game was lost on pure and non consistent mavs D.

Our man Iztok at MMB and D Magazine had a few takes in this regard --

Game lost on D. Disappointing for a team that talks so much about defensive identity. Many bad rotations begin with Luka's bad D. Luka was not 100% from a mobility standpoint and was still carrying much of the offensive load. His teammates couldn't contain drives and were outworked on the glass and in transition. 

The Mavs' new defense requires more weak side rotations and closeouts. It has been inconsistent all season, and Iztok fears that the players (and in particular the starters) are not optimal for the system.
