Add the fact that Maxi is the only big that can defend the perimeter and play next to anther big without hurting the team (see +/- numbers that were provided earlier) and it is easy to understand why people don´t want to trade him.
The one thing that limits Maxi´s impact is his durabilty. It really feels like he cannot handle a 82g/30m starting role and is best suited for the first big of the bench role. Last season he had back problems. This season he was in and out out the rotation with achilles issues. Was more or less unplayable in the playoffs because he couldn´t move.
