It could be Dallas getting involved as a participant in what Chicago and SA have already done. We can eat a year of Aminu into our TPE and get something in exchange for that.Man, I really like the idea of helping SA get LM by using our TE to pick up Aminu and getting a tip of an exchange of White for Powell (and TT?).
Derrick White (27 years old and an Excel client) would certainly solve the secondary playmaker hole. Good at everything and great at nothing, he’s almost always a positive on court no matter the quality of player around him. I’m guessing Green and eating Aminu are part of the price. What else? Hopefully Powell (that would move Young to PF). Probably Maxi. One interesting thing about such a deal is moving salary to Dallas would open space for SA to sign LM to a mid teens deal. So, maybe Powell after all as the backup C to Poeltl and LM and Young as the PF tandem. McDermott is their three and someone from among Vassell, Walker and Primo takes the starting SG spot.
So Aminu for TE and a second (cause we have to send them something right?), then White for Powell and TT. I’d rather the outgoing be Burke, but I think that may be too tough a pill to swallow, not that TT is some sort of much better prize, but it sounds like at least Tor is interested in TT where there is no one out there that wants Burke.
That would also balance out our roster very well.
White/Brunson/Burke or TT
THJ/Brown/Green
DFS or Bullock/Bullock or DFS
Luka/Maxi/Aminu
KP/WCS/Brown/Boban
We have Aminu and Green that can flex into the 3 spot should one of the two go down. Bullock can flex down to SG to get more minutes (taken from Brown and Green). Lots of interchangeable parts on this roster with plenty of O and D to keep on the floor at all times.
