2020-2021 AROUND the NBA: Archived

The only question remains is who to spend the money on and if they're even worth it. Not a lot of difference makers available this summer just looking at the list.

And those that are clear cut have caveat's like Collins RFA status. ( I will say I would throw all the money at Kawhi Leonard just to see what happens. Zero chance he leaves LA, but maybe he prefers winning...)

He did kind of come out of nowhere in their championship season, which I think was also his contract season. So TOR lost Kawahi  and paid Pascal based on one season. This is the genius management that everybody was praising.

I don't care how many names have come off the board - Dallas potentially being the best team with cap room presents opportunities, imo.

Here comes plan powder again...
Josh Green is a top 5 Mavs player...

Let's see if Playoff P disappoints him again...

I really hope that the MBT has learned something from past mistakes. Cap room alone is useless. If teams want a certain player they can find a way to create capspace.
Butler-Miami, Durant-GS.

You’re exactly right and this could even move up to the top option if this current group flames out in the first round. These next few months are key to the future of THj, J Rich and KP

No, he's half black, as am I. He's just being funny to those that don't understand.

Woj just mentions Miami and New York as potential bidders. My guess - no one really want to offer anything serious as they all assume he will go to Miami in FA. In the end Houston will take a little bit because it is still better than nothing.

I would hope Dallas would be the one asking NY to take Bledsoe to make Ball trade happen Smile

I don't buy this one. Why would rebuilding Orlando do that?

I'm sure this has been mentioned before, but I missed it and just looked this up. The agents for the names we've been discussing:

Aaron Gordon: Some guy who recently got absorbed by Klutch (yuuuuck)

Fournier: Some guy I've never heard of. Whatever.

Collins AND Drummond are both represented by known Mavs sympathizer Jeff Schwartz. For me, this definitively ends the "Gordon vs. Collins" debate.

I would be interested in DeRozan for this price. I wonder if the Magic's offer will be enough for DeRozan though... Smile

Bleacher has a bit on Chicago and OPJ. Looks like their primary goal is to make playoffs, so they are looking for upgrades, not picks for OPJ.

Another hmmmm, I wonder if Dal is guaging an offseason SnT value of Collins. I really don't think Atl will trade him at the TDL and are guaging his value around the league for such a deal.
