2020-2021 AROUND the NBA: Archived

Not so sure about that. Green is with the team, and I’d say SBey is more ready to play than Green, and at a position of greater need.

But I agree that he would not have gotten the kind of chances he has gotten in Detroit.

This one hurts bad. S.Bey was the obvious pick by a mile and the Mavs decided to get smart.

Scoring efficiency around the league is reaching another level this season.

League average 3P%: 36.9.
Three teams are shooting 40%+ from 3 (Clippers, Bucks, Jazz. Not a suprise that they are 1st and 3rd in the west, 2nd in the east)
Mavs 26th/ 35%. Only 4 players better than league average (Kleber, THJ, Brunson, Burke)

League average TS%: 56.9
Three teams above 60% TS (Nets, Clippers, Bucks)
Mavs 12th/ 57.5%.

SMALL SAMPLE ALERT:

Dallas is shooting 42.3% on 3's with a 1.38 PP Shot Attempt and a TS% of .617 over seven games in February (Feel free to check my math).

Seth Curry missed a FT. RIP 50/50/100 season. "Only" shooting 40% from 3 post COVID.

S.Bey update. 17/1/4. 3stls. 6/10 FG. 5/8 3PA.
Josh Green is 2/12 from 3 for the entire season. He played 212 minutes and scored 42 points. Bey scored 47 in the last two games.

We need 82 points from Luka/Porzingis to beat the Pelicans and the Pistons do it with a little defense led by Saddiq Bey, Delon Wright and DSJ. Undecided

Would’ve been even better if it had landed squarely in the middle of Kuzma’s stupid dumb face.

In the meantime, our good friend Justin Jackson almost singlehandedly beat Milwaukee. Got opportunity after some time and really took advantage. 4-4 from three and 22 points.

OKC is so incompetent. For two seasons in a row they can't even tank right Smile

Dallas pulled a SVG by not picking Bey.  I could be wrong, but I honestly think Green is going to be a one-trick pony, just a defender.  He hasn't shown even a hint of a offensive game, granted he hasn't had the opportunity.

I think the Mavs outsmarted themselves. There were some guys that could help us immediately but those chose 3 projects. Green does have a hint of Justin Anderson but Anderson was much older. Green is still developing and is an unfinished product so that is a positive sign.

I think Bey and Terry are going to be good both will just take time.

I wanted us to take Vernon Carey, he is tearing it up in the G League and was picked right after Terry.

Vernon Carey is looking like a young Zach Randolph, love his game
