2023 DRAFT: Mavs take Lively, OMP, sign Mike Miles to 2-way, sign Jordan Walker
Well we certainly remade our Center position. Not sure it's going to be any better than last year.

maybe turning earlier trade into a 3-way...maybe just into the trade exception? Either way, not sure something has to leave the Mavs' hands to get it done. In the first case, something would have to end up in Sacramento, though.

Holmes starts, I assume. Kammrath would love this.

I like the Prosper kid a lot, so far. Wasn't really on my radar, but I barely dipped my toe into this stuff this season.

Is this the first time the Mavs have gotten a FRP without sending anything in return?

I doubt they are done yet at center or tonight. I think they might go again in the draft: Bullock? McGee? Cash? The remaining TPE? Still some nice talent available.

Man, if Omax turns into a player, can you imagine we got Luka, Hardy and Omax from Sacramento either passing or draft pick trade?

I don't think Holmes is the starter. I think he's going to play the Powell role. Lively is the McGee role.

Which means I think a starter like Horford/Allen/Ayton/Capela etc. are still in play. And they'll use THJ+McGee as the foundation.

I know he had some family problems but dude completely fell off a cliff.  Hopefully this is something Nico knows the background on like Dinwiddie not fitting in Washington.

Thinking of all the eat bad salary to get a draft pick trades we proposed over the years...it finally happened.

Thunder fans have got to be in pain

The Thunder can easily add salary and they REALLY wanted that player

If we get rid of Bertans and THJ in the same offseason I'm writing in Nico on the next presidential ballet.

But, it is useful bad salary.  Holmes > Bertans

I actually think Holmes' play was affected by Sabonis. They can't share the floor together.
Off court issues maybe part of the culprit too.

Holmes would at least get 15 minutes a game if his head is right.

So it's #10, Bertans for #12, #24 and Holmes. Good value overall.
We just paid a whole lot of money to a guy that went 9-29 (31%) on FG and 3-20 (15%) 3-pt% in both our win or go home elimination games last couple of playoffs. SMH

Just so grateful they didn't get rid of McGee.
