To be fair in the case of Miami they get what they want because Miami is a great place to live if you're young and rich plus they have Jimmy Butler who is extremely close with Lowry.

Yes, I see the difference. Bullshit word salad number one contains different bullshit words than bullshit word salad number 2.
And, with all due respect, ...
The statement "If Lowry thing to Miami is true, Mavs have once again showed that they are not players" is a big crock of bullshit.

I feel like DP is OUT. That feels inevitable to me for whatever reason.
Also you cannot take Luka's best friend away AND the @"fifteenth" man is REALLY important to the roster.

Sorry, I just threw up in my mouth. Is BoBan re-signng first much like the Gal Mekel first signing ages ago?

Is this you suggesting Boban will be back? Because THAT would make me crazy, though I can kind of see it happening, maybe, if it's a minimum deal.
Barea was Luka's friend, too, though. You were certainly in favor of dumping him, right?

I am suggesting this because Stein is suggesting it.
Boban is great for end of the bench morale AND being a big man in a pinch. But clearly some big or BIGS are on their way out.
DP?
KP?

Yeah, missed that before responding, sorry.
I'm getting really, really depressed with all of this. I don't know if I can stand to follow the team that thinks employing Boban is a good idea.

You really don't see how it is good to have him for morale and spot minutes in a pinch?

Ok we have to be trading WCS or Powell right?
It better be Powell.
Boban continues to steal paychecks. We should all try to be Luka's friend?

Take Larry Nance into the TPE. Make them take Burke for one of their four non-guaranteed deals.
Sign Oladipo 20/2 with the MLE.
Not the worst summer. It´s all about how much you have to pay for guys like Oubre, THJ, Markkanen and Oladipo. If their starting salaries come out to an average of $12-13M that´s great business.
If I were ordering a list of free agents I would be interested in, these guys would be near the bottom. Oubre is bad at basketball, Oladipo is broken and Lauri is a monumentally bad pairing with KP defensively.

I was in favor of keeping Barea, so yes.
But I think Boban on the court is one of the worst things to give a coach as an option. I hate it so, so much.

I truly think this team was on the verge of completely imploding in the locker room last season, and having a personality in there like Boban was probably a very good reason why it didn't. For that kind of effect, I'm very ok with having him here on the minimum, but Powell has to go then.

Cool to be happy about them failing - I can understand that. But, good or bad from our individual POV's, this would represent the Mavs getting beaten in free agency again, and that will absolutely be the narrative.
I respectfully disagree that "it seems pretty clear that [signing Kyle Lowry] is what [the Mavs] were hoping for."
Why is it clear? Because some Einsteins of the Internet told you so? Or because Mark Cuban (or one of his employees) made an unequivocal public statement to that effect?
Why don't we take a few deep breaths and reserve judgment for a little while?
Like some smart person once said, "time will tell."

THIS is a good idea. We should all do this, even as it applies to aggressively attacking other posters here.
