Yeah Helin's piece has nothing new, but it being released today through that national channel IS interesting....Fish claims that "leak" (as well as the Dame stuff) is "purposeful."

Also, Fish adds the new element that Luka and teammates were upset with KP and the strip club thing. We could have GUESSED that, but Fish is asserting it as fact.

It seems that Fish is suggesting that POR might have (re)leaked the KP and Luka don't like each other piece, while DAL is leaking that Dame is unhappy. That't my initial guess of what he is getting at. Be curious if anyone offers a better take.

Leaking the KP stuff certainly doesn't help the Mavs or Luka since it further makes Dallas look desperate to be rid of him, which lowers his already toiletsville trade value further. Who does it help? Even though KP is the butt of the rumors, it helps him if he wants out. I'd bet on the leak coming from Janis (that's his brother's name, right?). On the other hand, come to think of it, given the bad look for KP, it's far more likely to be scorched earth from Donnie, Rick, or Moseley.

Portland trying to lower KP's value to prevent Dallas from being a Dame target?

I think Fish is just blowing smoke like usual. He's not a reporter with sources.. He's a guy running a sports blog.

Before we migrated here, he had plenty of insider access. Of course, he's since been extremely critical of Cuban in ways he wasn't before, so... I think his source is Donnie, Rick, or Moseley. He was certainly friendly with Donnie after all the truck washing.

Not sure in this instance. KP's camp ONLY if DAL is insisting on NOT trading him. Because if DAL is compliant with a trade request then being quiet is best.

The other option is there are multiple teams DAL is talking to about KP and one or more is leaking that story to try to lower his value.
