Seeing what happens in the playoffs just convinces me we need to get players who can shoot and play D. So no spending big money on guys like Derozan.

What do you guys think of these off season moves:
1. Trade KP for Nurkic and RoCo, 2. Sign THJ for 20M/year for 3 years, third year a club otion, 3. Trade JRich, JGreen, Tyrell Terry for Ricky Rubio, 4. Sign Goran Dragic for the full MLE, 5. Sign PJ Tucker for vet min., 6. Sign Batum for vet min., Potential Roster: Starters PG Ricky Rubio SG Luka Doncic SF Dorian Finney-Smith PF Robert Covington C Jusuf Nurkic Bench PG Goran Dragic SG Tim Hardaway Jr. SF PJ Tucker PF Nicolas Batum C Maxi Kleber Third Strings Jalen Brunson Trey Burke Dwight Powell Willie Cauley-Stein Boban Marjanovic 2 way players Nate Hinton Tyler Bey Nurkic will provide a better interior presence offensively and defensively. RoCo and DFS will provide perimeter defense and ouside shooting. Rubio will provide ball-handling, play-making and on-ball defense, will not turnover the ball unlike JRich. May have a role similar to JKidd. Dragic will provide scoring off the bench, can play alongside Luka for secondary palymaking and shot-creation. THJ will provide a scoring punch of the bench, can play alongside Luka to space three floor. Tucker and Batum provides stouter, more versatile defense, shooting. Can be played at the 3, 4 or 5 if the team needs to go small-ball. Maxi can play the 4 or the 5 on offense and defense. Can space the floor more as a 5 if needed.

I think this series against Clippers really exposed every weakness our roster have. And saddest part of this lose is that we weren't defeated by their stars, but we were defeated by their role/bench players like Jackson, Mann...
So this offseason 2 thing i hope FO will fix: Centers: One of the positions where second year in a row we are going to playoff without players knowing their roles. And second year in a row we don't have a clear starter on this position. Point guard/Secondary ballhandler. So going to offseason: - Decline WCS option. - Resign Bobi to vet min. - Let Melli & Reddick walk. ? - Powell - Boban Porzingis - Kleber Dončič - DFS ? - Green ? - Brunson - Burke/Terry With assest's we have, we don't have many options to bring that 3 star in Dallas so in my opinion we will need to take a gamble on a players who didn't fit in other teams and hope that they will fit in our roster. With this we basically stay with J-Rich team option & Hardaway as a free agents. In my opinion, with J-Rich opting-in in and then trade could bring us a starting center. I think with Lakers cap space problems and players who want to leave them, we could try and gamble with Harrell or Drummond trade for J-Rich. They' are not perfect but if we could get them for nothig for resonable price we should take a gamble. Other player we should be looking is Turner. Holmes in my opinion will be paid much more what we are willing to pay. So with that we still have around 22 mil. of cap space and that should be enough to pay a good PG. In my opinion that should be enough to try and bring a player like Lonzo, Dinwiddie to Dallas. If that fails, Norman Powell is a player we should be target. After that we have a bird rights to THJ and i hope we will resign them for resonable contract. So roster next year: Harrell/Drummond/Turner (trade for J-Rich) - Powell - Boban (vet min.) Porzingis - Kleber Luka - DFS Hardaway (bird) - Green Lonzo/Dinwiddie (FA) - Brunson - Burke/Terry

If you want to keep THJ (as me) you have to sign him before using capspace, because he has a caphold larger than what he will get paid.

At this point I think I'm all-in on trying to get Collins as our first move. Try to get Atlanta to bite on a Kleber-for-Collins offer. Mavs need a major talent infusion; our need for another playmaker is also obvious but I feel like most of them either don't move the needle or are too old/unlikely to switch teams. Maybe you can get Dragic for room exception after getting Collins and re-signing THJ.

I'm on the "get JERAMI GRANT if Detroit shows any interest in parting with him" campaign.
Grant may be good, but Detroit isn't winning anything for the next 2 to 3 years, he'd be traded for picks sooner or later. If the Mavs can get a high FRP from some team who still wants KP (and I bet there still are), then a 3 team trade can be done. Then you go after Holmes. F DFS F Grant C Holmes G Ball G Luka Grant although not a playmaker cam create his own shot, he will be able to make Kawhi work on defense more than he would have liked. And on the defensive side, you can throw the whole front court plus Ball against Kawhi, same concept the Clips gave Luka. Different defenders but all good ones.

Detroit might be smart to trade him now while he's value is sky high because he's not really on their timeline but to your point, the role here clearly isn't what he'd want. Plus there were rumors that the Celtics offered two firsts for him last year and they declined so I doubt he's going anywhere.

I don't think Dragic is a lock to stay in Miami at all given that they will be trying to get a max player like Lowry. Tucker is likely ring chasing and will be out of reach no matter his number. Batum is a guy that will probably be up to MLE.

Reggie and Batum replaces JRich and THJ quite nicely honestly, and for probably less money too!
