I remember Jordan talking about these shots saying he knows he will fail some, or even most, of the time, but he still WANTS the responsibility of taking that last shot. I've heard something similar from Kobe through the years.

I was surprised the Westbrook and Hardin are so low on that list, but then I remembered their reputations for under performing during playoffs.

I don’t understand the MJ versus LBJ debate. I wouldn’t even take queen James over Kobe. And people used to talk about the Jordan rules but I bet he would’ve loved to of gotten the superstar treatment that today stars get, especially LeBron. I’ve never seen a player as consistently pampered by the league as LeBron with the exception of Wade(06 for sure) and harden. If anybody ever fouled LeBron as hard as the Pistons used to foul MJ the league would immediately ban that player for life. For that matter I’m taking Dirk over LeBron. No question Dirk would have just as many if not more titles than the queen if he got to play on all those super teams and got catered to the league the way Lebitch has.

I remember playoff p several years back complaining to the media because a teammate took the last shot and missed...whined that he is supposed to be taking those shots but his track record said otherwise and anyone else would have had a better chance of making it...
Josh Green is a top 5 Mavs player...

I will say that list isn't updated. In think it was made in 2017? Either way yeah the point stands.

Thanks for finding this! I was certain there was something going on with that tape. Now we know.

Random stat of the day. Luka had 15+ assists in 4 games this season. Mavs lost all 4.

That's crazy and surprising to me. I feel like the offense looks best when he has 10+ assists.

One of the top priorities this offseason should be either fixing Luka or replacing him as leader. This might rub him the wrong way and our only option might be to just let him fail and wait till he’s open to suggestions. Maybe it means Rick needs to be replaced? Maybe we need a true veteran team leader? All of this could blow up in our face, so making sure Luka stays is most important. Dragic seems like the safest path.
Yes, he could be physically hurt and there are conditioning improvements to be made. However, most of what he needs to improve is between the ears. A leader doesn’t spend all game barking at the refs so much that he hurts the team with techs and missing defensive assignments. A leader doesn’t allow the 2nd star to be M.I.A., uninvolved, and unhappy for a whole season. A leader doesn’t neglect his free throws and defensive assignments. A leader can make the right decisions when it matters most instead of looking for personal glory jacking up a Steph Curry amount of 3’s when he’s an average player outside the paint.
Not sure who the guy to tell him that James Harden is a loser and he needs a better idol. Maybe Dirk can help? Internally it seems that the MBT has decided to go with “let Luka fail doing it his own way then we make changes this summer”

I will try to ignore how extremely disrespectful you are to Luka...
Main point - anyone who expects a 22 year old to be the most mature person on a team will wait five years or so for him to become that. I have said a couple of times - this team needs respected veterans who can play, not chearleaders like Barea or Bobi at their stage of their careers. Yet every time a trade for a vet like CP3, Lowry, Conley and similar guys was proposed it was shut down by popular vote.

Just eyeballing it, but it looks like we are 12-1 when he gets 10 to 14 assists. He's only had one game in the last month with 10+ assists which was his 19 against NY.
