...but wasn't the one filmed in San Antonio, I don't think, which is what he was saying. Cloak and Dagger was.

So how is it POR is still a game ahead of us?

Isn't the story on Portland was they win a lot of close games but when the lose it is not usually very close?   I thought they were safely in front of us as they withstood the injuries and were getting players back.  Although fitting a new player (Powell) into your team and fitting players coming back from injuries can have some impact on team chemistry for a bit.

They beat us in the season series so we will need to have a better record then them.  If I was a betting man, I would say they would stay in front of us.  Although it may be closer than I thought a few weeks ago.

Portland utilizing the The Dirk Formula ... Keep the game close until late in the 4th, when the the game boils down to their best player and the other team's best player taking turns shot for shot.  Their best player inordinately wins that contest a lot.

Because we keep throwing out turds against bottom dwelling teams.

Jalen Brunson has received adulation as the Dallas Mavericks' most consistent reserve, but don't overlook Tim Hardaway Jr. just because he makes 11 times Brunson's salary. Hardaway has been really good. He's averaging 16.5 points per game, third on the Mavs, and shooting 39% on more than nine triples per 36 minutes.

Brunson and Hardaway give Rick Carlisle flexibility tilting lineups a little toward offense -- with or without Doncic on the floor. The Mavs' second-most-used lineup has Porzingis with Hardaway, Brunson, Finney-Smith, and Richardson -- and the Mavs are a monstrous plus-51 in 98 minutes with that group. Their starting five with either Hardaway or Brunson in Richadson's place -- or even in Finney-Smith's if Dallas can risk going small -- holds promise.

This part made me vomit and exposes the fact Zach Lowe (to paraphrase Cuban) don't know shit. I doubt he even watched a full Mavs game this season.

I watch Mavs games and I can´t tell you what´s factually incorrect about his statement? Care to enlighten?

The Hardaway has been really good bit. If he watched Mavs games he'd know that JB actually has outplayed Hardaway this season. Of our locked top-7 I'd say THJ is not even top 5 (to me he and Richardson are clearly the 2 worst). We're winning these last stretch of games on defense and he clearly is not a part of this team's success on that end.

Mavs are 1 game out from Portland.
Mavs are 2.5 games out from the Lakers.

The Lakers have a torturous 8 game stretch coming up...Brooklyn, Knicks, Hornets, Celtics, Jazz, Jazz, Mavs, Mavs - should hope for 2-6 or 3-5, could easily be worse, if LeBron and AD stay out. (BOLD are wins, italics are losses - imho, or my realistic wishes)

Portland's next 8 games isn't much better - Detroit, Heat, Spurs, Hornets, Clippers, Nuggets, Grizz, Grizz -- They could easily be looking at 3-5 or 4-4 or worse.

Mavs next 8 - SAS, 76ers, Grizz, Knicks, Kings, Pistons, Lakers, Lakers - should be 6-2 or 7-1, could be worse.

THIS stretch is the place where they need to put the gas to the floor and take the LEAD.  Here it is, time to hit the turbo boost!

Things get even easier after those Lakers games, especially if teams like Sacramento turn into tank mode.

Sac-GSW-Det-Was-Sac-Mia-Bro-Cle-Cle-Mem-NOP-Tor-Min. Only 3 games against teams positioned 8th or higher, 9 games against out of play-in atm. 5 games against teams clearly tanking already with another 3 games (Sac 2x, Was) possibly joining them.

Interestingly enough TT talks a lot about mental health and his own struggles. This was back during pre draft.

People have been super vague ab his absence but if it's not mental health related I would be shocked. Covid stuff on top of everything else going on has added a lot of stress on people. Hopefully he gets the help he needs.
