Waiting until after the offseason to try and evaluate the FO's plan is the only option.  Obviously they don't have the assets to make a huge splash right now and for whatever reason nothing has lined up today...so far.

Stepping away from the ledge for a moment.

I could see the Mavs FO feeling like the biggest issue they have had this season has been continuity.  With KP out early, DP still working back from major injury and then the COVID boys missing time and playing back into shape, the team is just now starting to find some consistency; to say nothing of working in a new piece in JRich.

Maybe they're right and maybe the most valuable commodity to the Mavs is continuity...for now.  Still would love to see them turn Johnson into another rotation piece and maybe they will.

Of course I also have to admit that every rumor on Twitter and Trade Machine GM'ing means jack and you have to have a dance partner to actually make a move.

So maybe I'll take it easy on the FO for a bit and get back to bashing in the offseason
