Lowe also wrote something in regards to Collins being a bit further down on the market‘s evaluation (in comparison to someone like Gordon) due to teams viewing more as a 4/5 than a 4/3. It’s not like he’s gonna D up opposing team‘s best point forwards.

Would someone take a flyer on him for a FRP? Pretty high salary - if he doesn't improve, he will be tough to move.

I have been thinking about Brunson lately. I have always been a Brunson fan, but it is clear the Mavs were trying to be aggressive this offseason and was probably involved in the Mavs target of Haliburtan. Funny thing, if the draft was happening now, the mavs probably have a much better shot at Haliburtan with Brunson's play.
Brunson's minutes have gone down a little since the all star break. Burke has taken some minutes in the second quarter and maybe a little in the second half. Burke has played a little better recently, but I thought Brunson won those minutes. Brunson has been a little up and down (not bad, but not as good as he has been playing for most of the year) recently. It is tough to say if this is because of just the ups and downs of a season or because of the fewer minutes. I wonder if some of the Burke minutes have been a test balloon. As well as Brunson played prior to the all star Break, I thought he was pretty set for 25-30 minutes per game.
The problem is would Orlando have an interest in Brunson? Maybe now, but they have Fultz and their first round pick are both point guards. Atlanta wouldn't seem to move Collins to get a backup to their best player.
I doubt Brunson is moved, but I bet the Mavs have definitely asked to see what Brunson would bring back.

How would you like to be Mrs. F-S, just a few days home from having a baby and learn you may be moving.

For a first round pick, particularly in the Mavericks’ situation, wherein those are precious, no. I am too convinced that he is solid bust for that.
In about another year, when he hits rock-bottom and you can get him the same way they got Brandan Wright and Aminu back in the day, sure.

Be interesting if ATL has "sellers remorse" after their next stretch of games. LAC, SAC, GSW, DEN, PHX, SAS, NOP, all on the road. Then GS, NOP, MEM, CHI at home. Starting with SAS, NOP, GS, NOP, MEM, CHI, that's 6 games in 8 days.
May go from 4th place to out of the playoffs and wishing they'd made some moves or maybe surprise everyone and show better than expected.

Oh great Cuban´s personal writer putting DFS trade rumours out there. They are going to do something like trading Brunson, DFS and 1-2 picks for Gordon and somehow make the team worse in the process.
Our thing is we need Richardson and/or DFS shooting well. We are 10-3 (6-10 otherwise), when Richardson shoots over 40% from three. We are 11-4 (4-8 otherwise), when DFS shoots over 40% from three. We are 6-0, when both are shooting 40+% from three in the same game.

Is this something? Dallas is currently leading the betting odds for Drummond and Collins and is second for Norman Powell. At the very least, the market seems to think Dallas will be active at the deadline.

Townsend has as many sources, outside of what the Mavs tell him, as Mempis Broussard.
I think this is all just mind f****** for somebody else. When have the Mavs ever leaked their actual targets. When that happens the deal is basically done already and completed within 24 hours.

I can definitely see Orlando asking for Brunson for 5 reasons:
1. It says a lot when AG is tasked playing point forward when Orlando has 3 guys after Fultz.
2. Neither Fultz or Cole Anthony can shoot.
3. Brunson can play with either Cole Anthony or Fultz.
4. Fultz's upside is still there, but how much better will/can he get? Brunson already is solid and his play steadily increasing. Even a healthy Fultz is not a lock to start.
5. And that brings us to health... What would Fultz be like after ACL?
So yeah..

While in the midst of a galvanizing eight-game winning streak led by interim head coach Nate McMillan, the Atlanta Hawks are becoming increasingly reluctant to move their starting power forward by the March 25 trade deadline, league sources told Yahoo Sports. Furthermore, the Hawks haven’t been overly thrilled with the offerings. For instance, the Dallas Mavericks proposed a package featuring sharpshooter Maxi Kleber, sources said.

I think the Mavs have irons is a lot of fires and are in great position to grab the best player available to them with the assets they have.
I'm confident they'll do something with James Johnson--he has value to a playoff contender in the East. I could see him dealt into the Knicks space for a pick that could be flipped for something simple like Powell + Knicks 2nd for Lamb.

The thing we are overlooking a bit, maybe, is that Johnson and Tyrell Terry are the two players who have not been with the team lately. At this point, I think it’s logical to assume we can read into that, at least a little.
Question: who is the NBA team connected to the G league team Terry played with in the bubble?

I would do Green, Johnson and a 1st for Gordon. If the Mavs actually want to improve the team the goal should be keeping the main rotation together, and adding Gordon on top. If that is possible.
Gordon isn't that big of an upgrade over DFS to get rid of Brunson for me. If at all. DFS actually knows he is a role player and plays hard all the time. Does Gordon know he is a role player?
You can trade multiple players for a Lavine or Beal caliber, but Gordon is overrated for me. His shooting numbers over his career looking iffy. Zach Lavine even thinks he should play full time 4, and is being misued as a 3.
Opening up multiple problems like backup PG/playmaking isn't worth it for Gordon. I rather do the Fournier deal as a rental, and call it a trade deadline. Losing Brunson/DFS and getting Gordon. I have my doubts that the team is better post trade.

Here's the source for the Maxi/Collins and Bagley/Bey rumors. I find the note about Gordon just as interesting, as it implies a deal fell apart with Houston because Gordon has no interest in playing on a bad team.

These future markets are just to make money from suckers, especially when it says bets accepted after public knowledge/leaks will be voided, which basically gives them carte blanche to f*** with your winnings.. On the Lowry market you get a return of $86,37 on a $100 bet. That´s roughly the odds bookmakers offer on a coin flip, but there are not 26 others sides to the coin, let alone the possibility that nobody throws the coin and you still lose.
